President, Bill king has 26 years of professional experience in investment banking, alternative assets management, international trading and insurance. He started his career at Quick &Reilly Fleet Bank where he subsequently joined their leadership team. Later Bill joined Bank of America and headed their NY Insurance Group. Throughout his career Bill has worked with global business leaders and high net worth individuals. He holds series 6,7, 63 and NY, NJ, FL, CT Insurance licenses. Currently Bill is a member of the management team at East Gate.

A Graduate of Roanoke College in 1985 with a major in Sociology and a minor in Business Administration.

Subsequent to his college graduation, Bill worked on the floor of the American Stock Exchange and soon took a position upstairs as a retail trader for Cowen & Co. After a few years of working in the Financial District, he switched gears and accepted a position with Metropolitan Life (Lake Success location), where he went on to become a very successful Insurance Agent. Bill specialized in opening both new Corporate and personal accounts; selling various insurance product lines, suited to their perspective needs. Bill was influential in selling and tracking Buy/sell Agreements, Key Man Insurance, Pension & Retirement Funds, Long & Short Term Disability, Golden Handcuffs, Estate Planning, Mortgage Protection, College Funding and Employer/Employee Group Benefits.

Following his successful career with Metropolitan Life, Bill was recruited by Quick & Reilly (Parent Company: Fleet Bank), where he accepted a pilot program position as the "Insurance Specialist". The position, which entailed overseeing approximately fifty Brokers, making sure they were selling the Company’s insurance products to both existing and prospective clients. The program’s success gained him access to Fleet Bank’s Elite Private Client Group. Bill continued his role as "Head Insurance Specialist" even after Bank of America took over Quick & Reilly/Fleet Bank.

In 2007 Bill resigned from Bank of America to start his own Company, J. William King & Associates, where he continues his insurance endeavors. In 2009 he joined Arjent, as their Insurance Specialist for the New York area; promoting and selling various specialty insurance products.

Bill is very sensitive to the needs of his clients and listens carefully to their personal situation before making any insurance recommendations. He firmly believes that there is not just one product for every person but there is a product suitable for each and every individual. He continually challenges himself in finding just the right insurance vehicle, fitting to his clients’ specific needs.
